Rhodiola roseaRhodiola is a plant adaptogen which helps normalise body functions and strengthen systems compromised by stress, decreasing anxiety and improving mood. Hydrocotyle asiaticaCentella has been used for millennia in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine. The plant helps to stimulate the production of collagen, a protein which plays a key role in skin repair and in the healing of wounds, eczema and keloids.

FENNEL
Foeniculum vulgareFennel is among the best known natural galactogogues: various scientific studies have shown its effectiveness in stimulating the production and flow of breast milk during lactation, and in promoting the development of the mammary glands.
It also improves liver function and digestive processes. Being rich in vitamin C, alanine and methionine, fennel is also a powerful antioxidant which helps strengthen the immune system.
Contraindications: Its use is not recommended during pregnancy.

MILK THISTLE
Silybum marianumThough generally known for its beneficial effects on liver function, milk thistle is also traditionally used as a galactagogue, since it promotes the release of prolactin, the main milk-producing hormone. It also has antioxidant and anticancer properties.
Contraindications: The use of milk thistle is not recommended in case of allergy to any plants in the family Asteraceae (artichoke, kiwi, daisy or ragweed), among other things.

LEMON BALM
Melissa officinalisLemon balm is an aromatic plant which is used for its relaxing, antibacterial and antispasmodic properties. It is also commonly used to alleviate digestive disorders such as flatulence, irritable bowel syndrome or gastritis due to stress, sluggish digestion, lack of appetite, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, etc. Lemon balm is a natural relaxant which helps fight nervous system disorders such as anxiety, stress, irritability, insomnia and depression.

MORINGA
Moringa oleiferaMoringa is a plant native to Asia which stimulates milk production within just a few days of intake by increasing levels of prolactin, the main lactation hormone.
Containing up to 90 nutrients including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, omega oils, phytonutrients, antioxidants, as well as anti-inflammatory substances, Moringa is known as the miracle tree. Dried moringa leaves contain 9 times more protein than yoghurt, 17 times more calcium than milk, 7 times more vitamin C than oranges and 10 times more vitamin A than carrots.

CINNAMON
Cinnamomum verum or Cinnamomum zeylanicumCinnamon has been traditionally used in ancient medicines such as Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine for its many benefits which include aphrodisiac properties, given that it stimulates the libido. It is also used for the symptomatic treatment of mild digestive disorders such as gastrointestinal spasms, bloating and flatulence. Cinnamon bark tea is also indicated for the symptomatic relief of mild diarrhoea, bronchitis, dyspnoea, amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea, rheumatism and neuralgia.

OAT
Avena sativaOats are high in many vitamins minerals and proteins, as well as fats, starch and carotenoids, thus acting as an energetic biostimulant with tonic and restorative properties. Rich in flavonoids, oats are proven to improve memory, cognitive function and mental resistance to stress. Oats are also known to mitigate mild symptoms of mental stress and promote sleep.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to gluten.

CHASTEBERRY
Vitex agnus-castusChasteberry is known as "women's plant" due to its ability to regulate the menstrual cycle naturally, since it contains no hormones. Chasteberry regulates the pituitary gland, reduces prolactin levels and improves menstrual regulation.
Chasteberry also reduces breast tenderness before menstruation, in addition to premenstrual syndrome and associated symptoms including headache, irritability, depression, etc.
Contraindications: The use of chasteberry is not recommended in patients with a current or past history of oestrogen-dependent cancer or prolactin-secreting pituitary adenoma (prolactinoma), as it can mask their symptoms.

BRÓCOLI
Brassica oleracea var. cymosaA proper supply of nutrients is paramount to ensuring that the physiological processes of the body function properly. Broccoli has a great nutritional value, being rich in fibre, vitamins and minerals. Specifically, it is an excellent source of vitamin C and folate, just one serving (200 g) providing almost twice the recommended daily amount of vitamin C and a quarter of the recommended amount of folate. It is also a good source of minerals (iron, phosphorus and potassium). Broccoli is also rich in sulphur, which has antimicrobial properties.

SPIRULINA
With its 65% protein content, Spirulina, a type of algae, is a nutritional powerhouse which contains all nine essential amino acids in the right proportions and in a form that is five times easier to digest than animal protein. It is rich in tryptophan, one of the nine essential amino acids that the body uses to synthesise the proteins it needs. Tryptophan contributes to a healthy nervous system and aids relaxation, rest and sleep, as well as helping to manage depression. Spirulina is also an excellent source of minerals (potassium, calcium, zinc, magnesium, manganese, selenium, iron and phosphorus) and vitamins (all B-complex vitamins and vitamin E), which play an important role in energy metabolism and the formation of red blood cells.

EVENING PRIMROSE
Oenothera biennis L.Evening primrose oil is another powerful ally of women's health, with beneficial hormone-balancing effects during menstruation and the menopause. Its high content of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) contributes to the synthesis of prostaglandin E1, a hormone with anti-inflammatory effects. This property is very useful in the treatment of the physical and mental symptoms of PMS. With respect to physical symptoms, evening primrose oil reduces abdominal swelling, breast tenderness, nausea and various pains. As for the psychological aspect, it helps fight depression and irritability. Evening primrose has also been associated with favourable effects on pregnancy and has in fact been used for symptoms related to female infertility, to reduce ovarian cysts, in cases of endometritis (inflammation of the lining of the uterus) and to reduce benign breast lumps.
Contraindications: Due the antiplatelet effect of evening primrose oil, caution should be exercised in patients receiving anticoagulant therapy.

CALÉNDULA
Calendula officinalisWith its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial, antispasmodic, emmenagogue, choleretic, anti-haemorrhagic and healing properties, calendula has wonderful skin benefits.
It is recommended for numerous skin conditions, including acne, skin irritation, scalds, superficial burns, contusions, insect bites and jellyfish stings, infections, wound healing, frostbite, skin ulcers, boils, abscesses, sebaceous cysts, eczema, impetigo (infectious dermatosis), fungal infections, herpes, venous skin ulcers, chilblains, exfoliative dermatitis, and cracked feet, hands and nipples. It is also very effective in the treatment of genital conditions such as vulvovaginitis and vulvovaginal atrophy.
Contraindications: Sensitivity to plants of the family Asteraceae.

Vitis viniferaRed vine leaf is known for its beneficial effects on the blood circulation. Achillea millefoliumYarrow is a plant with various medicinal properties and health benefits. It is used both internally and externally.
Externally, yarrow is used for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It promotes healing and combats important conditions such as wounds, haemorrhoids and tissue inflammation. It also improves the blood circulation and thins the blood, thus preventing clots.
Contraindications: Its internal use is contraindicated in pregnancy.

Althaea officinalisMarsh-mallow has traditionally been used for its high mucilage content, since it reduces mucosal irritation, protects from local inflammation and promotes rehydration of damaged skin tissues. Thymus vulgarisThyme essential oil has powerful antimicrobial properties. It is used as urinary tract and oral antiseptic, as well as for cleaning wounds. It is especially indicated for the treatment of gynaecological conditions such as vaginitis and vaginal candidiasis. Thyme is also a miracle plant for the treatment of all kinds of skin infection.

CHAMOMILE
Matricaria chamomillaChamomile has many health benefits, including anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic, anti-ulcer, digestive, bactericidal, fungicidal and even mildly sedative properties. It is indicated for the relief of premenstrual pain, including breast tenderness. A number of clinical studies have found chamomile to be useful in the treatment of anxiety, insomnia and mild depression.
Contraindications: In very rare cases, the fresh plant may cause contact dermatitis.

SAINT JOHN'S WORT
Hypericum perforatumSt. John’s wort contains active substances such as tannins and flavonoids which give it healing and antiseptic properties. It is particularly indicated for the treatment of inflammation, irritation and sore, cracked nipples due to breastfeeding.

Lepidium peruvianumMaca root is a medicinal plant native to the Andes of central Peru. In addition to its medicinal properties, Maca root has a high nutritional value.
